Host Institution: Saint Petersburg State University
I am a graduated political scientist and currently conduct interdisciplinary research at the Department of World Economy at Saint Petersburg State University. By combining international relations with political economy, my research looks at the roles and aims of the BRICS-countries in international economic organizations.
I have a MA and BA degree in political science both from the University of Hamburg and have mainly focused on regional power studies, development studies and European integration. I also stayed with ERASMUS for one semester at the University of Oslo, Norway, with studies on the Nobel Peace Prize and Poverty. While my MA thesis was still focusing on the regional power projection of Germany inside the EU, my interest in other non-EU regions, in Global Governance and in interdependences in global economy grew stronger and led me to my current research.
